My name is Don - Sailor Sam is from "Band On The Run ♫" by Wings. Retired army officer, helicopter pilot and then an aviation executive for 20 years - never worked at sea but I loved seeing the liners as a child living all over the world as an army BRAT.

My passenger ship database 1858-2027 contains 2160 passenger ships over 10000 tons. I started it in 1977 and it has been a labour of love. I am slowly posting every ship, starting with an image and details of 1,501,1001,1501 then 2, 502 etc, hence the number against each vessel

I joined Jigidi on 16 November 2015 and was last seen on 2 July 2022. I've solved 6392 puzzles (2.6 daily) and put together 2010167 pieces (830.5 daily)
