Retired from two different careers (Coast Guard and Sheriff's Office). Now retired (12-04-18) from driving a shuttle van hauling railroad crews around Longview, TX. I like photography, playing keyboard music (oldies and easy listening), travel, canoeing, trains, and amateur radio (call sign N4KI). Drove a school bus my senior year in high school. In the Coast Guard, I was a qualified Underway Officer-of-the-deck on two different cutters. Accumulated extensive driving experience with large buses, including commuter, charter and Greyhound runs. Drove a tractor-trailer for Stroh's for several months when I first came to Texas. In 2011 I had the pleasure of becoming qualified to drive the Atlantic 4-4-0 steam locomotive in Jefferson, TX. Held a private pilot's license in my younger years. Went through my "motorcycle phase" in my early 30's. I like operating almost anything that rolls, floats, or flies.
