The artwork in Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle is titled "Garden outside Rome" (1882), and the artist is Carl Skånberg ♥

Carl Emmerik Skånberg (1850–1883) was a Swedish painter born in Norrköping. He studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts from 1871 to 1874.

In 1875, he traveled to Paris and was influenced by the Barbizon School, particularly the works of Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot and Charles-François Daubigny. His paintings from this period began to exhibit characteristics associated with Impressionism, although there is no evidence he was deeply familiar with the Impressionists' methods or intentions; the similarities are more coincidental.

Skånberg painted landscapes and coastal scenes in France, the Netherlands, and Italy. In 1881, seeking relief from asthma, he moved to Italy, visiting Sicily, Venice, and Rome. He created some of his most acclaimed works in Venice, including The Grand Canal. He married Ellen Hintze in Rome in 1882.

His health deteriorated, and he returned to Stockholm, where he died in 1883 at the age of 32. His works are held in institutions such as the National Museum and the Gothenburg Museum of Art.

Sometimes we forget how young people were when they died years ago. We have come a long ways in health care, even if some don't live to retirement.

Nice painting.:)
