Yes Uppsala. Twice as big as Shrewsbury but quite different. It's Sweden fourth largest city - a Swedish Cambridge and Canterbury rolled into one. I must start posting some views.

Lovely place to live..... Shrewsbury.
Looks nice where you live.... Uppsala?
About twice the size of Shrewsbury by the population....

This is one of my favourite 'shuts' in Shrewsbury, Grope Lane. It's so narrow that you can grope your way along it. In the city where I now live, we have a similar lane. In Swedish it's called Gropgränd (pronounced Grope Grend) which means Pothole Lane. I presume that the etymology behind Grope Lane would lead to a common Anglo-Saxon/Old Norse word meaning pothole. Thanks, Iwalkden, for posting all your photos of Shrewsbury and Shropshire.
