I hope you enjoy Pamuk's book . I think he
well deserved the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2006 for 'Istanbul'.

Very fine. I would say this is a Persian miniature, but I'm no expert.
An interesting selection and puzzle. Thank you carol.
PS: It reminded me of the book ' My Name is Red' by Orhan Pamuk, about
a miniature painter in Turkey and the training, politics, personal drama
behind the art. I found it a good read...just thought I'd mention it.
