Why are you reporting this puzzle?

As you can see, my helper is working hard to pollinate all of these beautiful bluebonnets so we can have an abundance of seeds for next year. He, and the other helpers, probably came from the honey farm adjacent to our farm, about a quarter mile from here. Wouldn't fresh wildflower honey be wonderful!

Just can't get enough of your bluebonnets, all year round! Thanks for sharing!!

Yes, Helen, I have seen the lupines in the west. They are in the same family as the Texas bluebonnets. Indeed there are several varieties of bluebonnets within different regions of Texas, all deemed to be the state flower.

Lovely picture Dale. Thanks for sharing. I have a question, I have seen Lupine in the west, and it looks a bit shorter than yours, but the same otherwise. Are they the same but called different there?

Dilubreuer

Nice colored flowers dale!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. No, yellowgal, the bluebonnets are only in bloom for a few weeks in the spring, but their scent is absolute heavenly. And, yes, okieclem, warm biscuits with wildflower honey is heaven on earth! Thanks again, everyone.

Great photo!

So beautiful! I'd always heard of bluebonnets but had never seen one, do they blossom all summer? You've got the best kind of helper for sure. : )))

okieclem

Quite a symbiotic relationship you have here, dale. A field of waving bluebonnets is one of the prettiest scenes there is... and we could be watching that while eating warm biscuits with wildflower honey: heaven on earth! :-)

Gorgeous picture, btw... tfp.
