Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Or rather, the view out of her window in Stockholm, Sweden. You can see this for yourself, along with many others at WindowSwap (see image copyright link). As Sonali Ranjit and Vaishnav Balasubramaniam tell us:

"Let's face it. We are all stuck indoors. And it's going to be a while till we travel again.
Window Swap is here to fill that deep void in our wanderlust hearts by allowing us to look through someone else's window, somewhere in the world, for a while. A place on the internet where all we travel hungry fools share our 'window views' to help each other feel a little bit better till we can (responsibly) explore our beautiful planet again."

What a fabulous idea! People post the view (a brief video loop) out of their chosen window to share with anyone who comes across it. Anyone can participate, regardless of how exciting or boring your view! ;-)

Thanks to Bill_I_Am for passing this along to me. Hope you go to WindowSwap and do your own world tour, one window at a time! Bon Voyage...

Oh my, where have I been hiding? Oh yeah, that gardening thing... Not to worry Gayle, Blue and Bill - mi casa es su casa. Discuss away and keep cool, Blue. Good luck to you Gayle, and anyone else, on your own Window Swap postings. Do you suppose that Windex is behind all this. I'll have to go find more views that might be fun puzzles. Oh, BTW, I have posted the loo, Pat (thanks for the reminder):

And thanks to Tim, Marilee and everyone for the great comments!

On another topic, are you still planning to post that picture of the library loo? I hope so!

Oooo, that looks miserable! Every day we say we are grateful to Willis Carrier for inventing air conditioning.

Bill_I_Am

I heard it's called a heat dome.

High 90ºs, Blue, that's miserable. I think Bill was pushing a hundred for a while, too. I wondered what part of this world you call home and I see that for the next 10 days, anywhere in the good old USA could be your home. A blurb at the bottom of the opening page of the weather site says, "Heat Set to Come Roaring Back." I was not aware that it had left.

My photos so far don't seem to be too bothered by the screen. I got all the dried bugs and spiders off the outside of the windows.

Thanks, Andy, for letting us usurp you site. :-)

Bill_I_Am

I think a lot of those windows we've seen don't even have screens. Must be nice. But if you could remove the screen, that might be enough. Hopefully, the camera is focusing on the yard and won't even register spots on the window—provided the sun is not hitting the window.

Bluebonnet

That might work if we didn't have windowscreens, Bill.

Gayle, I admire you! But I am not going to emulate you. Temps here have been in the high 90s for days, with more of the same forecast for 10 more days. Plus I would have to climb a ladder, and I'm not allowed to do that. I would hire window cleaners, but I don't want to ask anyone to work outdoors in this heat. (Is that weird?)

Bill_I_Am

I think some got around that by having their windows open. :-)

Out the back bathroom window is perfect. I took a photo around noon and it was pretty good. I thought late afternoon or evening might be better, but the sun ruined both those views. Tomorrow I'll see what the morning view brings. None of them were brief video loops; nothing was moving. It would be nice if a bunch of turkeys came by, but that's a crapshoot. For the sound of water, I could probably flush the toilet while I'm filming.

Blue, I cleaned the window this morning—both sashes, inside and out. The window didn't know what to think of it; it was in shock. :-)

Bluebonnet

I'd like to try to get a clip of deer in our yard, but I'd either have to cheat and film from the deck or—shudder—clean a window. I noticed that almost all the windows on Window Swap are spotless. No dog nose prints or anything. Amazing!

Bill_I_Am

The view from your window would be great, Gayle! Do it!

Bommom

Thanks, Andy. Right now, I've seen an awful lot of repeats. They really need more people to submit their views. I'm working on one.

What a great idea. Thanks Bill and Andy. Watched a clip from Brixton UK on a 3 lane road. With one lane being parking maybe and the other two travel maybe that plus left side driving. I never did figure it out.

Bluebonnet

Oh, this is marvelous! Thank you, Bill! Thank you, Andy!

Tincup

Thank you Andy. This is a wonderful site. I especially loved the windows with lots of plants inside and outside, and the sound of water. All were great.

Tilda's view was one of my favorites too. You could have all kinds of travel fantasies riding up into the sky with that horse. Thanks, Andy and Bill.

Bill_I_Am

@Bluebonnet if you're still feeling the itch of wanderlust you might find that Window Swap offers a modicum of reprieve.

Bill_I_Am

You're welcome, Andy. I haven't had the pleasure of visiting Tilda's window in my travels, so thanks for the puzzle!
