I'm glad to hear you got some relief from your surgery.. I sympathize with your pain, my spinal stenosis is a condition where the spinal column narrows with age, compressing the spinal cord.. I have to use a walker to get around, and can only stand a couple minutes at a time. I have to pull up a chair in front of the stove, and sit down to cook a meal.. (Lots of "bum cheek clenching" for me, on a daily basis...lol)
I had osteophytes that were cutting into my nerves and so I needed to have "windows" cut into several vertebrae. I didn't get a choice, but I can say an 8 hour operation by a couple of neurosurgeons does tend to make one "clench the bum cheeks"...and I must confess I made sure all my paper work was in order.
My advice...when your quality of life is going to be dramatically affected...consider it. Thanks to my surgery I can still walk about and use my hands without too much pain.
What was the reason for your back surgery? I have Spinal Stenosis and Cervical Spondylosis and told I need surgery, but I've heard so many horror stories about terrible results, that I'm too chicken to give it a try.
Hi Linda, a beautiful swing with the eye right on the mushroom. I used to love playing golf as did "She Who Must Be Obeyed"....back surgery, and golf no more!
@inny. Hi Lynda, we have a had a big orange thing in the sky all day. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" has informed me it is called "the Sun"! Hope all is well up your way.
