Ah, Mary. As long as you are safe, warm, fed decent food and cared about, you'll survive. Warm hugs to you any time they're needed!

As for my avatar name, you probably know that my Putter was an incredible "heart dog", like your Scarlett. It seems to me that the more we love our pets, the more silly names we call them. It was actualy the owner of Putter's sire that sang a little ditty to him that went "Pitty pat, Putter Dutt, putt, putt, putt. When I had to come up with a name for my e mail account I tred to get "Putter", but it was already taken. So I went for PutterDutt and got it. That just carried over to Jigidi.

Thank you Ellen. Yes, I actually thought that nobody would come back to this since it is so old. Most of my friends have either died or moved near their children. My children and grandchildren have always lived so far away that I only saw them briefly. So I live in a very large house with my dog, a Coton by the name of Scarlett O'Hara and have no clue what I would do without her. Soon I will move into assisted living, which I said I never would. Dear God had no idea I was going to babble so long. Thanks again. One question I never asked, where did Putterdutt come from?

Oh, Mary! I'm so sorry that you feel lonely. It's good to know that you can reach out to folks who care about you, any time and any day. Please accept a hug from me!!

My late brother left James, my late husband Bobin uniform. Miss them. Getting more and more lonely. Mary

Two brave & distinguished looking gentlemen. I'm glad there are a few of their kind still left, but I wish there were more. Blessings to them for their service, & to the many others who've stood in harm's way between us & freedom's enemies, & to you for sharing this precious picture with us.

Two very fine men. A wonderful photo for you to treasure, Mary. Very Happy Easter Wishes to You and Yours.

Nicepeach, I'm so sorry that I missed your comment when you posted it! (I was probably gone to a dog show and missed your comment when I got back.) What a lovely story! It just shows that animals have an affinity for those who are ill or distressed. Thanks for sharing! You may enjoy looking back through my puzzles posted before. I virtually always have at least 1 animal puzzle every day. Your story about your husband's Coton de Tulear, Scarlet O'Hara, staying right with him touched me. A friend has a couple of them and just adores them. I posted a couple of pictures of her "kids" a while back. Enjoy!

Your brother and husband look like winners in my eyes!

Thanks so much for posting.

Thank you, gentleman, from a Daughter of the Dutch war survivors.
