Watchman

A few years back I received a large package with Flat Stanley, requesting that I put a postcard in the package and ship it back. Kind of a flat chain letter. Lol…. A friend of my granddaughter class was sending him out to see how far he would travel.

Juba1010

Maybe with his walker. I heard the story as a teenager.

Watchman

Is he still traveling around the nation?

Juba1010

Actually flat Stanley is a pretty good description of his package after the swelling went down. Hence the pillow.

Watchman

Splat.....

msbonne

Oh, Nooooooo!

Watchman

No, it was Mr. Bill

msbonne

Was his name Flat Stanley?

Juba1010

Let me just say the poor guy got run over by a truck. He recovered eventually.

robf

(( wide-eyed Gene Wilder meme )) Tell us more.

Juba1010

You don’t want to hear the nurse story I know about packages. She said it involved a pillow.

robf

Hm, one can understand why so few good nurses are commoners, I suppose...

msbonne

Yes, but what do they know?

They think that small packages are a good thing.

robf

Have you heard what the commoners say, about "good things"?

msbonne

She is small.....

robf

Ms. Grande could actually be a better fit though.

msbonne

Too bad, Pirates was going to be allowed to expand it's showings, provided ALL cast members wear masks.

robf

The Pirates of Penzance production in Tulsa was just rescheduled, and her contract was too airtight to break...

robf

Yes, Selena had a conflict for that month.

msbonne

I heard that Aria Grande was the lead.

robf

I do know someone looking for singers, for some kind of opera.

msbonne

Benn there, done that.

Watchman

That's good, for I tripped stepping off and now have a mouth full of soap bubbles. OooO 00 oo OOO 'POP'...

nanab

I didn't see you on one. : )

Watchman

I don't stick my head in the sand either. I see what is going on and understand what we are facing. I am, Off the soap box. ;-)

nanab

I limit my news intake but I'm not going to stick my head in the sand. It's important to stay aware of current events that may have an impact on all of us, no matter where we live. That's all folks. : )

Juba1010

I’m gonna vote.

Watchman

Be very careful and take time to tune out the BS. They are stroking fear and created panic, it also an election year. The unknown can be freighting to all us. We must stand together and refuse to be sorted in to group, for dividing; we will end up being conquered and lose all our rights and freedoms.

robf

Yes... it's our sixth sense.

Juba1010

Zombie apocalypse? I try not to watch the news much. I spend time here goofing with my friends. I’m really good at worrying if I let myself. Remember your sense of humor.

robf

Juba, 2020 seems to be a centipede. All these shoes dropping. Hong Kong restrictions are just the latest shoe.

I'm with nanab, exhausted; especially thinking about what to be careful of next. Invasion of Taiwan? The new strain of H1N1? U.S. elections postponed? Internet hacked, stops working properly?
Rest and gentle music are more valuable than ever. :-/

nanab

I'm constantly on alert, it's exhausting.

Juba1010

The next shoe dropping.

Watchman

Good advise!

robf

Yes. We have been warned.

bblessing

yes, at all times.
