Never seen one like this.

Fishes

They give the blue ones to the Boston Aquarium, coco73.

Too handsome to eat. I would donate it to a city aquarium or toss it back in the ocean. If it would stay alive that long, it might get a good donation at a charity auction then you could feature it in the aquarium with the name of the donor. They live for about five years. With a mate maybe there would be baby blue lobsters.

Fishes

I agree, Iris!

That must have been a surprise for your dad, cappy.

I've eaten lobster but I've never seen a blue lobster! Thanks for sharing.

back in the early fifty's, my dad was a commercial fisherman on Long Island, new York , and he did catch a blue in is lobster pots. I know we didn't eat him . I would have to ask my sister what dad did with him.

Fishes

Arnold’s is donating it to the New England Aquarium in Boston.
