In June we travelled by rail from Vancouver (British Columbia) to Montreal (Quebec) where we spent five nights. We then took an overnight train to Moncton (New Brunswick). Next we drove to Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton (Nova Scotia), and flew home from Halifax.

Even worse, Jill, they didn't learn from this experience. The French lost Canada on the Plains of Abraham one year later in 1759 because the British once again snuck in the back way.

Oh dear it feels awful but I must confess I laughed at your comment, only because of the lack of forethought.

Unfortunately for the French, Jill, they didn't plan too well. They put all their cannon on the water side and none on the land side. Guess which way the English came. ;)

Ready, aim, ... don't fire! Cool photo thanks Faye.

I love doing puzzles of where we've been, Suzy...and sometimes I can point and say, "I stood right there," or "There's the exact table we ate at." When I'll jig your puzzles of the Fort I'll be able to say, "One year later..."

(Don't ever tell anybody, but 45 years ago I sneaked a touch of the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum...so when someone posted a puzzle of it... ;DDD

pumpkinhead

The cannons are well take care of, as I recall. Thank you for the trip back, Faye. Really enjoying this!

You are so right, Ardy! ❤️

We'd all be better off if war were still as cumbersome as it was then. Thanks, my friend. ♥♥
