crochet blanket finished!

Good for you, Lilypond! So many of them have to sit in their wheel chairs for long periods of time and their legs get cold. The lap blankets will keep them warm. : )

I like the idea of a lap blanket! There are quite a few people that I know, who could use one. I feel excited about starting one already!!

This is so pretty, lilypond! I bought a book that taught me how to crochet. It was really easy and I enjoyed it so much. My Mom and I crocheted lap blankets for the women in a nursing home near her. They loved them and we got so much pleasure out of making them. I haven't crocheted much in a long while and I just might get back to it after seeing your pretty things. I am a knitter now, could never think of anything other than blankets to make. I made a topper blanket for my kingsized bed. I did it in nine inch squares and then sewed them together, it took me over a year!

Thanks very much. It took me some months but it was lovely work. Sometimes I have little time to crochet, and other days I do quite a lot. It is very relaxing work!!
