THE NEW STASH

Donna, as far as I remember none of my 60 baby blankets has the same color combination which makes it exciting to choose colors for the next blanket even if one of the colors is chosen again❣️ It would be boring to use the same colors over and over again and even the texture of the yarn..😊

Nicci, in my archive is a post how I store my yarn and no light gets into the drawers😊I buy yarn when it’s on sale for 50% off. I also happen to like to work with this yarn both in blankets and animals❣️ At the moment I’m using up skeins of yarn I use to like then but not as much now..I need to use up yarn just sitting in boxes and taking up room😊I make a list of yarn colors I’ve used in projects and need to replace and that’s what this stash is about❣️ I’m a person who is ready for new ideas and have the stuff handy..the same goes for food or baking..meat In freezer extra flour in pantry..❣️

Looks like you are like me for yarn, Eva! Some very nice colours here. When I'm out I sometimes see a nice wool & buy it, only to discover I already have it in my stash! I put all mine in a plastic box but I have to make sure the balls are stashed safely in bags inside the box so no sunlight can damage as the box is not quite clear but opaque & light can get in. I didn't think of that when I bought the storage boxes.

Donna, This is the time to rejuvenate and to accept it is the hard part❣️ I think we all have those days, weeks, moments❣️ I can sit for days and then I’m going like I was on fire❣️
I’m very must like you regarding yarn and after a long time I buy four skeins, the amount it takes to the blankets take because I do not want to run out and have to buy more😊 …I finished a blanket last night and at the moment I’m trying to decide on my next project❣️ I’ll be posting the blanket tomorrow ❣️ And so far I’ve made 10 blankets this year and that’s good❣️
Our men wants us to be happy and I wish All men felt that way❣️❤️❣️

Ardy, these colors have been used in passed projects and I felt I needed to fill the gap in the drawer😂😂..I love to work with this yarn and like to keep colors handy when I decide on a project and I’ve found many new projects I will start on soon😊 Thank You Ardy and Hugs dear friend❣️🤗❣️

No such thing as running out of yarn, you only run out of the "that one color" to finish a project, then order more than need plus more of the others, you know, just in case. :))
