Often it's very difficult to comb or brush the knots out of a dog's ears: If they're left for a while without being de-knotted (if that's a word) the dog is afraid of the pain associated with the "de-knotting" and makes the work almost too difficult for both the groomer and the dog. Bringing in a groomer is usually essential unless you want to have the dog anaesthetized (that's not cheap) and having your veterinarian's staff do the job. If you decide not to groom you're in for an expensive anesthetic and putting the dog through a sometimes-dangerous procedure, especially for older animals. RebeccaB 9 July 2020 What beautiful highlights! The mobile dog wash has been parked in front of my neighbor's for almost 4 hours today.
