People come from all over to buy their peaches.

I want to say it's Fredericksburg. They're really big on their peaches.

Which town is the one that has the Peach Festival.

I agree it is a beautiful town.....and have enjoyed visiting it myself. I love the hill country...it's very picturesque.

CathyTxDJ

Yes, beautiful area, the hill country is. Fredericksburg is the town many visit from out of town. It's famous for it's German cuisine and bakeries. It's also known for it's antique shops, quilt shops, etc. They also celebrate October Fest in the fall, I believe. (Luckenbach is just a few miles from there.)

Fabulous area to live in. Very quaint if I remember correctly.

I'm near Kerrville/Bandera/Fredericksburg

Are you near Brownwood.

CathyTxDJ

I'm an hour northwest of San Antonio.

I am happy to report that we did indeed get some rain yesterday afternoon! It was glorious. It didn't last too long but it was rain. :)

We used to live in San Benito (just south of Harlingen) so I can relate.

CathyTxDJ

It's so hot here in south Texas...yesterday it was 98. We need rain!!

Actually , Cathy, I just got home from the beach and did enjoy the day. - It was 104 (40C.) today! Didn't see any sailboats though.

Thanks so much for posting this one. Ah, to be there today sitting and staring out to sea. :)
