I'll be watching for them, Shirley. My eyes don't let me do it anymore even through a magnifying glass.

Thanks for that, Ardy, it is the same as todays Counted Cross stitch, just a slightly different name. I have just bought 3 pieces which I am going to frame for my bedroom wall. will be a while before I have them finished, I'm about 1/3 of the way through on the first one. will post them as I get them finished.

Thank you, Faye. πŸ’•πŸŽ„πŸ’•

Advent calendars are so fun. For years we had an Advent candle. So fun when there were several of us to enjoy it. I have two I'm looking forward to seeing. A Grandma Moses fold out one and the Jacquie Lawson one from a friend. I'm sure the little ones will enjoy theirs. β™₯

Thanks, Lunie. This is a repost. I think most of the Christmas things will be reposts.

Shirley, it is basically cross stitches but the weave of the material is what determines the size of each stitch. For example if there are 26 threads to an inch there can be 13 cross stitches in that inch. I got all my patterns from Denmark at first but several years after I was introduced to this some American companies began developing patterns. The pattern is on graph paper with each square being two threads square on the maternal. Colors are indicated by symbols. It can be so addicting!!! This piece has some straight stitches too for the lines and note stems.

La la la la! β™ͺβ™ͺβ™ͺβ™ͺ So cheery! πŸŽ„β™₯οΈπŸŽ„

P.S. I'm late today as we took Advent Calendars out to the three little ones...a beautiful sunny drive...on a Sunday with no work-a-day traffic!

I remember some of those you posted earlier, Ardy. You could have made lots of them... This is the craft that i like but did not pursue... TFS.

Very nice, Ardy, Thank you.

Ardy, I'm wondering if your 'Thread Count Embroidery' is like todays 'Cross Stitch Embroidery'?

You're welcome, AB. It's fun to do and can be addicting. ☺

You're welcome, Jill.

Thanks, Pat. Hugs

How wonderfully cheerful, and no doubt beautifully made.
Thanks Ardy

That’s great, thanks Ardy

Beautifully done .. Hugs

You've got a good point there, Jimez. Thanks.

You're welcome, Maryltp. Embroidery is relaxing fun until your eyes can no longer see the weave of the material even with a magnifying glass. (Thread count embroidery is two threads square on the material. No pattern printed on the material. Only on graph paper.) Have a lovely Sunday. πŸ˜ŠπŸ¦β›„

You're welcome, Jacki. I used to love doing this type of handwork but my eyes aren;t good enough anymore. Hugs

You're welcome, Sandi.

Thank you, Gail.

Great song, unless your last name is Hall. :D

Enjoyed your embroidery art! My Mother taught me to embroider when I was six years old! I still have some of it hanging in different rooms of my house! I still do it if I want to make a memory gift for someone! Thanks for sharing your creativity! πŸŽ„β›„οΈπŸ€ΆπŸŽ…πŸ»πŸŽπŸ”΄πŸŸ’πŸ˜Šβœ…

Very nice Ardy. Thank you and hugs

Very Pretty, Ardy. Thanks.
