Taken yesterday at the same field I found the common blue butterfly.
The underside of the wing looks almost identical to the common blue, with exception of a few markings.

wingspan about 2.2 cm - 2.7 cm

Thanks for the compliment Patsy, I always take multiple shots if I can and only keep the ones that meet my standard. Occasionaly I will also post lower quality pictures if the subject is interesting enough ☺ sometimes the smallest insects have the nicest markings ☺

liertje1978

Indeed Ginni, and there's still another small one from the same family to come ☺

I'm beginning to expect this high quality of shot from our expert butterfly/fly/bee photographers. (You know who you are!) This time I can see the fuzzy edges, the bright orange, the colour shading, and more, all on a small butterfly that opened its wings just for you.

Another small one! The orange does brighten it up nicely. :-)

Thanks Faye, this one was pretty fresh, so the orange is really vibrant.

Another lovely...and a great shot! I do like the orange and black markings along the edge of the wings. ❤️
