The Turkish coastline can be seen from the Greek island of Kos. About 40 mins ferry ride from Kos Town is Bodrum in Turkey. Just a few years after this photo was taken, this stretch of water was in the headlines when large numbers of refugees from the conflict in Syria crossed it to reach Kos

@JillianB a friend who lives around the corner was staying in Bodrum at the same time that we were in Kos so we arranged to meet up in Bodrum. Don't know how we managed before mobile phones ...
