I hoped that worked, but unfortunately... (I'v put big rusty nails next to the roots, but nothing). For now I stick to planting white ones (I have a blue and white colour scheme in my garden ;-)), and even they get a very light hint of pink... nature does have it's misterious ways... lol

there is a old saying that if you put some nails in the ground around the plant, it will come back blue...not sure that is true, but....worth a try.....or add some pine needles to make it more acid...
I am sure it is beautiful pink as well....

Unfortunately our soil is to sweet... year after this it turned purple (which was actually beautifull!), and thereafter it turned pink.

and a heavenly blue at that.....acid soil does it...

There is something in the soil that turns hydrangias blue.
