I remember this model, as I had a '51, in Air Force blue, as it was an old Air Force unit. It ran pretty well, except that the points kept slipping closed, and before starting, I would have to reset the points, using an old matchbook cover as a gap tool. Then it would run ok for a couple of weeks, then I would have to reset them again. Thanks, Starocech.
I can't tell them apart either. '48, '49, and '50 all look the same to me too. The '51 and '52 are different in the V8 is on the top of the grill in '51 and the V8 is on the hood in '52. exchanging positions with Ford. Ford is one piece on the hood of '51, and spelled out in 4 pieces on '52. This is either the '48 or '49, or '50. all of them have the word Ford spelled out on the top of the grill. I guess Ford was not thinking about changing the pick up's for those years. Other things were much more important. Pat.
