A long and winding 'road'...

A day and a spot just made for hiking the "road". A day when you could just trek on and on and on. The view is stunning....but one can imagine what it took to get to this spot! The sky seems much bluer above the prealps (a new term for me!).

@bluebird42 I don't remember seeing larger animals at all along the path, but if there were it must have been chamois'. There are ibexes, too, but they live higer up, in the rocky summit area. Thanks for your interest, Jacki, have a great day!

A truly beautifu scene, Céline! Are those goats down there grazing beside the trail. I thought at first sheep (because my family has sheep) but goats sounds more like what one would find on a mountain top.

I really enjoy the winding road, I wonder where it leads, of course it's for walking, hiking it appears. The mountain range behind is wonderful. Thanks Céline, have a blessed day my friend.

Breathtakingly beautiful photo. Beautiful sky above the amazing mountains (which I love) and then the tall trees in front by the winding road. Another great find my friend....
