What a great imagination you have for creating such lovely jewelry. I really like the way you did the necklace too. I would never have thought of doing it that way. On the roof in a storm ? Not where you would Ever find me I'm afraid. I'm not sure if that is brave or foolish. I do hope he takes all kinds of precautions to avoid being blown off, mistaken for a lightning rod, etc. I hope you are dry and safe this next season. Bunny

Lyricist

Wow! That's impressive! I love your style. Thank you for liking Fergus - I was trying to use my Kindle as camera with little success until Fergus came along to check it out :-)

Lyricist, Yes. I do wire wrapping and lapidary. so all the wire/metal...including the chain, I "made"wrapped. If the piece has a stone, not bead...I cut, shaped and polished the stone first, then wrapped it in the wire. Thank you! love your cat pic!

Lyricist

Craswench- not Credence (unless you're part of the band.) I'm in an endless war with Autocorrect.

Lyricist

Credence, this is absolutely beautiful! Did you do those wire curlicues as well?

megabelle2000

I applaud his skills!!!!!!!! Hope to see you soon....

craswench

we are already water sealed. it's Al!! he watches and plans for things like that! ;-]

megabelle2000

rain is on the way....hurry....

craswench

mega, it seems to be what he does during hurricanes! go out and about in them, and secure the homefront! We did go drive around to check the river...it was so high and fast, you couldn't even tell there was a bridge there! no ripples over the bridge sides as the water rushed over them! CRAZY! We are in the midst of replacing the roof anyway now, because while he was up there, he noticed how poorly done it was. they had 3!!! layers of tar paper on it!! the last two layers were so brittle I was scraping it off with a paint scraper!!! almost done now, though! putting shingles on finally!

megabelle2000

there was damage of the building’s roof, but just too much over us...it was due to be replaced anyway and has been...the last winds just recently tested it and we lost a few new shingles to the wind!! We are hoping to get down soon, but everything is unsettled right now...gotta get over
Christmas!!! We haven’t brought the kitties yet, and so they are holding us up a bit...they hate the car, so we are debating about how and when.... Al on the roof?? OMG...glad I didn’t know it at the time!!!

craswench

mega, thank you....we did great! a few shingles, a few branches on the ground..as much as the tree would let them be. Of course Al was on roof in the middle of it all to help insure no major roof damage. We did get stranded for a while because of road flooding/damage and bridge flooding.we were out of electricity and internet/phone for quite a few days. Electric came back on just in time to save all 100+lbs of fresh shrimp in our freezer! I'm glad to hear you didn't have any major damage! roofs are STILL being replaced! Love your lil cats!! when are you headed back this way?

megabelle2000

great combo...they are closely related!!! How are you??!! Hope your new house was spared.....we were lucky...just minor stuff...we will find out how “minor’ when they get around to repairing...
