We've been lucky @Wild4packers2 and had showers last night and this morning. Someone just a mile or two south of us is getting a storm right now. June outside Atlanta usually means rain, not drought, but we barely got a drop for a month. We've been doing well enough for July. Temps finally dropped a bit. The situation is becoming scary, overall. πŸ€”

I think we're all praying for a little of this in the nationwide heatwave. Europe, too!

I love being an aunt, but it was more fun when they were little. It felt really good to give my niece the gift of riding lessons at stable near them, since I had to wait until I was an adult. She ended up doing the "horsie girl" thing, working at the stable for several years and getting tough jobs like riding horses for people who needed them exercised. Lucky girl! πŸ₯° Gail

My aunties were a big influence in my life as well as my parents. I try to be a good aunt.

@jigsawjigzag They are both great "kids" and we know they love each other and their mother, their grandmother, and even this old auntie, but I think their dad rates above all the women in their lives! 🀣

That had been a wonderful bonding experience.

At least it's cooler here, but 1.28 for the month of June is scary. My Mom, 98, is worried about my 18-yr-old nephew "What's going to be left for Joseph?" This climate change stuff!! πŸ˜₯

Wow, I just realized my Mom is 80 years older than her youngest grandchild! My sister's miracle child, born after 2 miscarriages, 13 years later than his sister, who cut the cord. Sorry, that might be TMI. 🀐

We haven't had any rain since that Monday night storm JUNE 13. There is still a lot of trees that need to be cleared and carted away.

I'm sorry. We had a lovely shower here this afternoon. The dogs ran out on the deck until the rain hit them. I had to show them it wouldn't hurt their fur to get a little damp. I'll try to send the rain your way..β›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈβ›ˆοΈ

I was not so joyful @bettysweet! There was a big rumbler that came to a halt at the top of the ridge 1/2 mi. away and we got the drift. 0.03! Near miss twice this week! πŸ˜₯β˜”

I still have more rain puzzles I'm saving for a rainy day! πŸ₯° @Isaly2 Have you tried watering your lawn or washing your car?

bettysweet

I love this little girl. She is so joyful bouncing around in the raindrops.

Isaly2

It always amazes me how it rains one place and someone that lives so close by doesn't get a drop. Hopefully we will get some rain soon....

landal

I'm sorry it didn't happen for you @Isaly2! I do love the sound of the gutter dripping, and the grass is still wet, that's an improvement. My friend who lives in a neighborhood 1/2 mile as the crow flies said she got zero. πŸ™„β˜” More, please!?

Isaly2

Lucky you getting some rain. Not a drop here. A very foggy start to the day.
