9F92212, you have an eagle eye but as far as I know that loco was 6508, post TOPS 33008 which was not Hasting gauge line (Slim Jim). I never worked on the southern region except for a quick trip to Basingstoke one time, but as far as I know only the class 33/2 were built to that specification. If you have more info I'd love to hear it. Thanks 9F.

ferret, I'm careful not to discuss the urges they can put me away for. Though sometimes I'm very tempted.

East, I have to confess I have done the same at various museums in the past. I hope you remembered to put the barriers back.
Is that a Slim Jim (Hastings line version), on the right?

Oh East. You have some bloody funny urges. No matter, don't think they can put you away for that one

I had to move the barriers while no one was looking to get this shot. I still can't get used to being a member of the public. But I managed to control my urge to climb into the cabs.

A face only a mother could love.
