Hi Phyllis, yes a beer cart was called a dray. I'm sure those arches were mean't for horse and coach/wagons as most of the old pubs/hotels have these.

Lovely and another gateway that looks like coaches and carriages and maybe drays, isn't that what they called the wagons that carried barrels of beer and ale the the public houses?
