Why are you reporting this puzzle?

The artwork in Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle is titled "Loggia fra Procida med figurer" (1841), and the artist is Martinus Rørbye ♥

Martinus Rørbye (1803–1848) was a Danish Golden Age painter renowned for his detailed travel scenes and fascination with remote cultures.

Unlike many contemporaries, Rørbye ventured beyond Denmark, journeying to Norway, Italy, Greece, and Ottoman lands, capturing exotic landscapes and everyday life. His 1840 visit to Athens produced rare depictions of modern Greek independence. He was among the first Danish artists to paint Istanbul, portraying its vibrant street life.

A meticulous draftsman, Rørbye also painted intimate, melancholic interiors, hinting at his own struggles.

His sudden death at 45 cut short a career blending realism with romantic wanderlust. You can find more information on Martinus Rørbye here

Very nice

Fascinating that the lady in white is hand spinning (linen?), even though she looks well-off, and if this scene is from 1841, spinning wheels were certainly around.
