THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE PLANT THAT BLOOMS ALL YEAR ROUND. EACH CLUSTER HAS DOZENS OF 2 INCH FLOWERS, UP TO 70 IN ALL. IT IS CONSIDERED TO BE A COOL-CLIMATE PLANT. IT IS A TUBEROUS PLANT WITH SHOOTS THAT CAN GROW 10 TO 15 FEET LONG. IT IS CONSIDERED UNUSUAL FOR IT'S YELLOW COLORATION AND THE LACK OF SPOTS ON THE INNER PETALS. IT IS SAID TO BE A BOMAREA SUPERBA FROM PERU, AND IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL OF ALL HIGHLAND VINES. IT NEEDS TO TWINE ITSELF AROUND SOMETHING LIKE A TRELLIS.
UNFORTUNATELY, THIS SITE DID NOT KNOW THE CLIMATE TOLERANCES OF THIS PLANT.
