George Rickey, the famous American kinetic sculptor had 1949 Packard coupe and his wife Edith offered it to me in 1969 for free but I did not take it. I regret that now.
Right, I agree with fyreline. These did look a lot like the Lincoln at the time. Comfortable Luxury. These Packards did look much better as a coupe than as a convertible. Pat.
These years of Packard are not among the highest-regarded by auto collectors . . . and yet they are well-built, comfortable cars that have a lot to offer. They may not be the most stylish Packards, but they are well in line for the trends of their time.
