Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Veterans Day is an official United States public holiday, observed annually on November 11, that honors military veterans; that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays, including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I; major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. The United States previously observed Armistice Day. The U.S. holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.

Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who died while in military service.

I'm sorry! :( Not a great 'pain' night here either...can't wait to start listening to all your posts that I missed. Helps to forget a bit! :)

wjl1015

It went ok, but I am paying for it now!!

farrell

Thanks Joe! Good to hear your voice today. Thank you. ~ Hope all went well at the store, and you didn't over-do! Have lots of catching up to do, but just made a pot of coffee...up all night again :)))

wjl1015

Good to see you Lori :))

farrell

Thanks Joe, Bonnie & Irene ♥

God Bless All the People who have made sacrifices, in past and present wars for our Freedom.♥ Thanks Lori.♥

In the UK we have several charities that help them, they should not have to rely on charity they have earned a home and respect through their everyday actions.

wjl1015

I've seen them here as well, in downtown Cincinnati.

farrell

So glad to make you smile Cindy! :)

farrell

Thanks to all of you...the phrase "Homeless Veteran" should not be a phrase at all! I've seen homeless vets in Boston, as well. All of our countries need to do a better job protecting our protectors! ♥ ♥ ♥ "Thank you veterans" ♥ ♥ ♥

❤️❤️❤️

Lori ~~~ I needed a good laugh today and, guess what, I found it! I just happened upon your "stick deodorant" puzzle! Sooooooooooooo funny!!!!! Thanks a bunch! Cindy

We see the problem everyday because of the warm weather -- folks from colder climates, not so much so easier to ignore. I remember (quite a few years ago) when San Diego, unofficially of course, used to round up homeless and give them a bus ticket to Phoenix or Tucson . . . .

rswestley

The homeless vet problem is widespread. You see it in downtown Tucson and on the street corners. If Trump does nothing else I hope he keeps his promise to help our vets and restore honor and dignity to those that served our country proudly.

djp

Didn't know the UK had similar problems . . . : - (

manicpuzzler

Same in the UK with homeless veterans :(

djp

I agree with all of you, but I want to point out something I find personally disturbing: I go up to San Diego about once a week, into the center of town -- it is "littered" with homeless and destitute; many of whom are simple drop outs of life, with drugs, etc. BUT many are Veterans, mostly from the Vietnam era -- where in hell is THEIR veteran support!!! Or is it only for the "modern" warriors ?????

Perfect for the day! Patriotic Smiles!☺♥♥♥

Beautiful tribute Lori to all those who fought and lost their lives for us to be free.
My grandfather was 4 years in the trenches near Verdun in WWI and never recovered properly after those dreadful years.
We also celebrate Armistice Day on Nov 11 th .We will never forget.
♥☺♥☺♥

manicpuzzler

I will never forget. I am the daughter of a soldier and am married to one (who was shot on the neck and barely survived).
The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month I will fall silent for a minute to reflect :)

farrell

Thank you Mazuri & petsmom....its a pleasure to honor and remember all who serve! ♥

petsmom

This puzzle is beautiful. I would like to thank all veterans for serving and protecting our freedoms. I agree with all the comments on this puzzle. They express exactly how I feel. Thank you, farrell.

wjl1015

No!!! Of COURSE they wouldn't!!!

farrell

Well said John ♥ ...and I echo that "God Bless our veterans" ♥

I hope he does too Joe...politicians wouldn't lie? Would they??? :)

wjl1015

I sure hope he does Lori!!

rswestley

Thank you Lori for honoring those that served our country protecting our lives and our freedoms. God Bless all of our veterans.

Never forget you are never forgotten

farrell

Trump promises to clean them up...I hope he does. My father spent his life fighting 'his government' for the benefits owed to soldiers, active service members and veterans. He would come home stressed out & ticked off that they had to "fight for our freedoms"... then "fight for their benefits".

wjl1015

No we can't. And sadly our VA services are in pretty bad shape!

farrell

I agree Joe...we can never repay them for our freedoms. :)

wjl1015

Thank you to all our veterans!!! Something we should remember the rest of the year as well.
