It's a long story, but we only had Cooper for a couple of years. Kissy-cat, we called him. lol He's still kissin' people, but he went back to his family. He's a really sweet boy. I'll be safe if you will. :D big hugs.

I think the worst of it is over. I live just far enough away from the Arkansas River that I was safe. I think. lol The yard has been slushy for months, but I didn't see any flooding. I heard the river crested yesterday. So that's good. But for a minute there, we were sweating the possibility that we might get flooded. Wouldn't be the first time for me. I lost a lot of stuff down a river when I lived in Iowa, and we had that thousand-year flood. I think that's what they called it.

If I'm not laughing I'm not living - my personal motto. Laughing at myself is so simple because I do so many different things that I have many opportunities to make myself laugh, and if I am lucky, others around me. I care for my horses, cook/bake, refinish furniture, build what ever I can instead of purchasing, grow some of my food, care for my chickens, go to the gym every day, yada yada. Life is GOOD for sure! I have been to Arkansas a few times (Little Rock) and it is lovely. Sure hope you are "weathering" the weather ok.

lol. I have made an art of self-deprecating humor. And then there's just me assing my way through life. I would love to really learn languages, the way I learned Spanish. Not that I'm a master of Spanish either. I can usually get every third word from native Spanish speakers. Laughing's the best, isn't it?

wolfwoman

Yes, you are right - it is German. I have had many relatives try to teach my their dialects and the best I can say is we all have a good laugh over some home brew! I do love to laugh, and some of my best jokes are on ME!

prawnpron78

You know, I read that pretty well, before I got to the translation. Now, if you asked me to speak it aloud, I might fail. But it seems the Dutch syntax is a lot like English. Or is it German? It looks German. I can recognize a smattering of German. Thank you.

wolfwoman

Ja, das ist gut. Bier in beiden Händen für Sie! Loose translation.... Yes, that is good. Beer in both hands for you!

prawnpron78

Hey, that works for me. :D Are you going to have beers in each hand? My birthday is in Oktober.

wolfwoman

Aw I wish I had tartans to wear.... I come from a long line of Pennsylvania Dutch - 1742 to be exact - so perhaps my "beer garden" attire would be more fitting... : 0 )

Well, my mother was the Cat Crusader. lol she had a few too many cats when she died, so we had to share. I love cats too, but over a certain number is just hoarding. Luckily, we had gotten Cooper from them, so they agreed to take him back. I miss him though. One of the sweetest cats I've known. And good. I'll wear my clan tartan, you wear yours. :D

wolfwoman

prawnpron78 you are a generous soul to share such a special kitty with your friend. Thank you for sharing. AND BTW I love kilts, too.....
