Bella went trick and treating tonight with my son and grandson. Didn't seem to mind the red lobster costume. Wagged her tail the whole way. While they were out a Chihuahua dressed as Spiderman came to my door with her human trick and treaters. Fun night!

Bella is adorable, & I'll bet she brings you tons of joy in spite of her small size! Sophia was a rescue dog too, twice over, actually. Our daughters got her from a gal who advertised her on CraigsList. She got Sophia from the humane society for her daughter, who said she wanted her. While they were driving home with Sophia the girl decided she didn't want Sophia after all. Obviously, she was not old enough, or responsible enough to own any pet! When our girls picked her up the gal was at work at a store, & came out & met them in the parking lot. Poor Sophia was in her car, with water but no food, & only 1 or 2 of the windows were barely cracked open! Fortunately is wasn't a really hot day, but not really cool either. My daughters agreed that even if I didn't want Sophia they would buy her just to get her out of this abusive situation! When they brought her to me it was like a scene from Lady & the Tramp. I was napping, & they brought her to me in a little box. I instantly knew what was in that box, & when I opened it it was "love at first sight", with those sweet brown eyes looked up at me! We had lost 6 Yorkshire terriers in less than 18 months, & weren't planning on having another dog, especially not so soon. Our 10 year old female passed away of "old age". Then we got a new female Yorkie, but she suddenly developed gestational hypoglycemia while at the vet hospital being treated. She went into labor & lost all 4 of her puppies before she passed away. We were completely grief-stricken. So Sophia is very special to us all, & I believe God brought Sophia into our lives to heal our hurt & be a super blessing to us as she has been.

@PuzzleG I looked at your cute little Sophia on your puzzle pages and she and Bella do look a lot alike except for the short fur versus long fir. The rescue organization from which we adopted Bella had her mother and 5 sisters. Mom was a traditional looking little terrier with white fur and mottled markings, brown muzzle. 4 of the puppies looked like Mom. Bella and one sister had markings alike, but the matching sister was shades of brown and tan rather than black, rust and white like Bella. Father is unknown. Maybe a minipinscher? Bella is small, 11 lbs, long in the body and legs. I fell in love with her at first sight and adopted her on the spot. She was only a few weeks old. She is now almost 2 1/2

@Sharon72, your Bella looks a lot like my little chi-weenie furbaby Sophia, except mine has long hair. Bella looks so cute in her lobster costume, LOL!

Thank you for the beautiful story. Have a nice day.

I think she was happy and had a good time. She is small, only 11 pounds. She got lots of petting and attention on the way, which she loves. She likes meeting people and she likes other dogs. When she got home she wanted to greet the costumed children who were still coming to our door. No barking, just wiggling all over and wagging tail.

Interesting .... what did the dog think ....?

Thanks, Wendy. She got lots of petting and her "boy" got lots of treats.
