Being a sort of outdoors type, I would like to volunteer with the State Parks and do some maintenance and grounds-keeping. I would love to go out in a boat and patrol for trash and litter in the lakes.

I too would like to do some volunteering now, but I can't decide which one to go for. I would like to help the homeless, but I am a soft touch and would probably want to bring them all home. Have you got anything in mind?

Yes I can see your careers from your profile. You have done so much with your life, and still have time for a wide variety of hobbies. You're the sort of man, if you see something and like it, you will learn all about it and be determined to conquer it. That is really good. I can't see you retiring.

I moved here right after I retired from the Coast Guard, 31 years ago. Found a new career here and earned another retirement so it's been good being here. Going to stay with this job at the railroad yard for a couple more years and then retire completely. Might move back to North Carolina after that.

You're a long way from home Jerry, but at least Texas has it's compensations.

Nice to see something from my home state of North Carolina. But Texas is more laid back and has no state income tax, so here I am.
