A layered cake made from sponge cake and cream filling, containing honey and either sour cream or condensed milk. It's often made from stale, leftover cake and the cream filling softens up the old cake.
@mble111911 LOL! I know - leftover cake sounds like a crazy concept, doesn't it? I think it's more applicable to people who bake lots of layered cakes. Every individual cake needs to be leveled before being used as a layer so a large chunk needs to be cut off the top. Some bakers also carve large pieces of cake off when they're trying to create specific structures. All that cake usually goes to waste or gets turned into cake pops. Cakes like this would be another use for those scraps.
Wait...I cannot imagine this cake at all...I mean, who has ever had "stale, leftover cake"?? The fact that it is CAKE means it will never get to the "stale" stage around my house. lol
