What a glorious morning and I was up and out for a walk by the sea for the first time in ages. It was spectacular.

Beautiful sunrise, excellent history lesson. Thanks Bren.

Beautiful picture.

Many smiles and may the new year bring happier days to all of us. Take care!☺

I am truly blessed to live here. And what was even more wonderful was being able to bump (not literally!) into a couple of old friends I had not seen for many months.
I was with my sister and we stood and chatted (2 metres apart) and shared time with one lady who works with her at the Lifeboat Station and another with whom we meet at Ladies that Lunch.
Those are such distant memories from happier times but, God willing, we will come through this and will be able to meet up again.
And on an historical note for all my friends in the USA - Filey Bay is the site of the greatest sea battle of the American War of Independence, between John Paul Jones and the Royal Navy and it is where, when asked if he was ready to surrender J P-J uttered the famous words: "I have not yet begun to fight!" and won the battle.
Parts, including cannonballs, from the 'Bonhomme Richard' have been found in Filey Bay but the ship's bell remains elusive.

Wonderful way to start the day!! Glorious, indeed. :DD

Wow....moving to up there you have found your Paradise for sure, Bren! ♥☺♥

Stunning. Great way to start your day. Thanks.

What a wonderful place you live to see that on your morning walk! Thank you for sharing.
