At last Carolee, someone I can practice my Klingon with....................
'e' luHarmeH qorDu' .............. we must get soon together for some 3 hour sessions to brush up on.

okieclem

FWIW, Klingons drink prune juice; Worf loved it! (Re: 'fruit snow' -- I don't care if it's a 'slimming' recipe, I wouldn't eat it if it was yellow/pale yellow... you know what I mean!)

No thanks, I like to taste my food apart.

Bubble

Bringing my own runcible spoon 、、☂ヽ`、、

Juba1010

Ok Bub. More for me. You can have my share of Indian Curry. I like Thai curry. :-)

Watchman

I will pass. Thanks. ;--)

Bubble

We don't eat Chinese food Juba, now if its Indian curry (east Indian) , we'll be around in 5 minutes ! 、、☂ヽ`、、

Juba1010

I’m having left over Chinese food. Yum

Bubble

It will soon be lunchtime ! 、、☂ヽ`、、

Ms_Maddy

Suddenly not hungry.

Juba1010

I like prunes.

Bubble

No need, I have a room stuffed with it. Wouldn't mind a few packets of prunes though. Spam is officially old hat. ☯‿☯

Watchman

We might need 'Depends' instead! ;-)))

Juba1010

Ok. I’ll bring bring extra TP.

Bubble

(Highpitched song) Maria ..... Maria............ am inviting you and Juba to dinner as a thank you for saving me. Hope you like cold prune soup, reconstituted prune souffle with gobs of prunes, followed by prunes and custard. You may have to stay the night ! ☯‿☯

Juba1010

Sorry Bub. Had to make an emergency run for Chinese food. The joneses were getting bad. Thanks for saving her Maria. That would’ve been a bad way to go.

Watchman

Glad, I heard your cries for help! ;-)

Bubble

@Watchman
Thanks Watchman, hell, thought I was a goner then.

Juba must have bailed out to meet the owl and the pussycat with her spoon. ☯‿☯

Watchman

Here I just toss you a lifeline. ___________________O grab ahold and hold on tight. For it will try to suck you back into the wiggle jiggle ring of ICK!

Bubble

Help ................................... glug........glug...........glug ...............burp !

Bubble

Hurry up Juba, they're cloning each other !! ☯‿☯

Juba1010

I’m on my way with the runcible spoon Bub. Be brave!

Bubble

I tried to be brave BB but when I went out to the store yesterday, I saw one of these desserts, stopped to admire it and it followed me home !! I'm currently hiding in the crawl space. ☯‿☯

No, no, no, no, no.....!!!

nanab

Hey Bub, don't be a follower. Be brave and break away from the crowd, if you think it looks good go for it. My NanaD gave me my first taste of prune juice when I was a teen, loved it. : )

nanapuzzler

Prunes are actually sweet (there is prune juice in DR. Pepper...I heard) and the gelatin is flavorless...so prunes, prune juice and gelatin molded, chilled and served with vanilla ice cream...I'd eat that at least once. Just fruit and ice cream.

As far as the Slimmers card... you do know why old people eat prunes and drink prune juice...to keep you regular!!!!!

Surreal_Heidi

You'd be surprised how many people would be fooled by that, morepiecesplz

morepiecesplz

Have you noticed prunes being sold as 'dried plums'? Not untruthful, but who is fooled?

Bubble

Well as I like prunes I was going to say it looks pretty good .......... but after all the adverse comments, icks and ewws, I've changed my mind !!

If this was made with dates I would try it . ☯‿☯

togocat

No. Just no.

Watchman

The mother-in-law expression upon seeing the dessert, then when she hears about the tagged cards and realizes she tagged certain cards. OOP's LOL ;-)))

nanab

It would be a funny one, I'm thinking the Dick Van Dyke show.

Watchman

I am thinking late '50s-'60s sitcoms and making up an episode. The first meal with the in-laws. The tag was for a different dessert.

Watchman

LOL NO! I have had burnt toast

nanab

Watchman - Was that an entry from your diary?

Watchman

The new bride received this box of recipes card from her bridal shower and of course from her mother-in-law. The first night back from the honeymoon, the sweet young bride opens the box of cards, some are tagged, so she pulls out the card and the dessert is the Californian Jello Ring. She smiles, it looks like the picture on the card, she done it just right. The bashful bride is beaming with pride. The meal she has cooked has received great reviews from her new husband and his parents. Until she brings out the dessert. ;-))

nanab

It's fascinating that an "ick" like this garners so much attention and a cute kitty pic gets 2 comments. LOLOLO

Donnajames

It is the perfect diet meal - no one can eat it = no calories!!

Watchman

It says Slimmers Card so it must be a diet meal. Just looking at it, does the trick. It is still an ICK!

morepiecesplz

Sorry for the atrocities - I am (unintentionally) the anti-Mischka. I have yet to have anyone say things looked yummy and offer to split an item with me...

If Watchman is correct, diet food used to be dreadful.

Mischka

It's sad when chefs hate food this much.

Donnajames

This looks just disgusting!!!! dj

Watchman

It is prunes, prune juice, and gelatin, with Ice Cream and prunes topping the ring. This is for a slimmer diet? Prunes and Ice Cream the perfect match. LOL ;-)))

Isaly

Thanks but I think I will have to pass on this...

morepiecesplz

Watchman - sometimes the less you know, the better... still don't know what the jiggly brown stuff is. Looks like it's got 'things' inside...

Surreal_Heidi

I like prunes, but this is unappealing.

Watchman

;-))))

Geez---it sounds like a Fleet.

Watchman

They are oranges! Here the recipes. Still a big ICK! ;-))

Watchman

They must have roughed up the lemon rind before slicing it up. If they thought it would make this look appeasing they were mistaken.

Juba1010

Eewww. Prune jello made with sugar substitute. This is a desert for dieters. Recommends “fruit snow” instead of ice cream in the middle for dieters. Recipe card didn’t identify the yellow slugs crawling around the edges.

morepiecesplz

That caught my eye, too. Maybe lemon slices? If it's Peeps, at least we know it's dessert.. or not...

Watchman

? What is the yellow stuff around this brown mess? Looks like yellow peeps slices.

Watchman

It didn't get strained out of the toilet bowl, by the plumber? Ick! ;-o
