Allright!!

msbonne

Never seen an ugly pig sty.

Rettch

The junk cars add to the interest of the picture but certainly not to its beauty. You are right, COden, looking beyond the cars is where the beauty in this picture lies. Just beyond the cars are some nice ocotillo and the mountains in the background are great.

msbonne: I love incurable optimists! I bet you look at a pig sty and have visions of a beautiful flower garden growing in that rich soil. LOL

msbonne

Must say COden, your response brought a smile to my face. (I still think some WD40 and Duct tape and I could really make something special here.

COden

Yes Rettch it would take a truck load and quite the tool to apply it. And, yes msbonne you need to look way off and admire the beauty of the desert and those great looking hills beyond, then take out your six shooter and shoot those damn cars one more time.....

msbonne

Always gotta look at the big picture (I mean way, way, way, way, way off in the distance)

Rettch

It will take more than a little body putty to patch the myriad of bullet holes I can see.

msbonne

I see a project car and a donor. Just a little paint, minor bodywork, wheels, tires and you are good to go.

Rettch

We have found many old cars and some not old at all wandering around the Mojave Desert in California. Many of these cars were stolen driven to remote areas and stripped. Some have been set afire to eliminate any evidence. Great picture COden--rusting hulks next to blooming ocotillo!

RATTLERS???? Get he heck out of there!!!!!

COden

For sure these have been here a long time, to get that rusty they had to be. Didn't see any skeletons but with the way the winds blow out here they could be buried in sand. Of course with strange and dangerous animals out here I didn't get to close either, as the weather is warming up I am seeing lizards and hearing tales that the rattlers are coming out.

What the heck?! I can't help but wonder how many years...?

pumpkinhead

Poor fella probably thought he could find a gas station out there. No such luck. Bet his skeleton is near by.
