THANK YOU! Beautiful

Thanks Wasicu for helping out on the misunderstanding about the original name for this beautiful animal. Some animals have so many different names like the panther or the cougar & it can be very confusing.
In the Netherlands we also call the 'American' & European ones 'bizons'. We only say Buffalo ('Buffel') to the African ('Kaap',- ) & Asian ('Water' buffalo) However in all sorts of official American media the American Bison is refered to as Buffalo's & very rarely as Bisons indeed. Did you knew that the North American Bison also originally came from Northern Asia?

Nice painting of an American Bison.
Buffalo never roamed North American as a native animal. Buffalo are indigenous (native) to Africa and Asia.

Totally agree with you Betty, I'm glad they survived their almost extinction! Thanks for passing by to leave a kind note! :-)

The painting is distinctively effective of the time period in which these buffalos roam the land, which was theirs.
