Rockport Harbor, Massachusetts, USA
Why are you reporting this puzzle?
In Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle, we visit Rockport Harbor in Massachusetts.
So quietly beautiful.
Rockport, Massachusetts, was officially incorporated as a separate town in 1840. Before its incorporation, it was part of the town of Gloucester. Rockport's settlement began around 1700, but its origins date back to 1623 when a group of fishermen from Dorchester, England, established a fishing village that would later become part of Gloucester.
Rockport Harbor is a fishing village turned tourist hotspot – the village has a rich maritime history and originally thrived on granite quarrying and fishing. Rockport's granite was even used to construct the US Customs House in Boston. The village is also known for the iconic red fishing shack "Motif Number 1" we see here in Today's Daily Jigsaw Puzzle - said to be one of the most painted buildings in America.
Approximately 7,000 people live in Rockport – what do you say we spend some of our Friday paying them a visit? ♥
