We love it too, Sharon. It gives such great shade in the afternoon when the temperatures may be over 100 degrees.

It is a pretty house. It reminds me of the homes in the town in Minnesota I moved from. I love that tree!

jignjw: I grew up in Kansas and the only relief we had from the heat was shade and fans. We have never gotten over our love for shade trees.

Jaxodin: Our town is a small town alright. Its population was about 16,600 people when we moved here and it now has a population of about 70,000. Small by California standards, but it would be a big town in Kansas where I grew up. It is too big for this old Kansas country boy!

sandrine2016: We planted the tree shortly after we moved into the house. It is an evergreen elm and probably about 45 years old. We love the shade during our hot summer (100F days). The house is just a little tract home, but we have been happy here.

It's so cool and inviting! Lovely!!

This house would fit right in with houses in the small town I grew up in in NJ.

Thank you for sharing your treasured home with us. You have a nice two car garage, and a lovely front yard. How old is that magnificent tree?
