We stopped at a rest stop along the highway. It was a gorgeous place. I believe it was the Maryland Welcome Center.

Sandi, I have a feeling this was taken in Garrett County, Maryland. It might be the Delaware Water Gap. I spent some time in Western Maryland. I was born and raised in Baltimore but moved to New Jersey after I was married. My husband and I still vacation in Ocean City, Maryland on the Eastern shore.

It is a lovely state, Sandi. Thank you. Not sure where you are here. I haven't been in western Maryland more than once or twice. That's where you would have entered. From pictures I've seen some of the most beautiful scenery is in the western part of the state for mountains and eastern for ocean.
