Spring is in the air in the desert Southwest as the Ocotillo are in bloom. One might notice the lack of snow....

Beautiful and bright desert colours. Thanks.

Thanks progy, for me the desert has a special type of beauty, but as I wander around there I keep in mind that it is a very harsh environment....

These are beautiful flowers, thank you! I sure wouldn't want to be stuck there trying to reach that mountain in the background on foot!

I drove back to CO last weekend and yep, you guessed it. It has snowed all day today, lightly and not sticking much, but it is snowing... hope you are enjoying your turn in the sun....

Have you returned home yet, or are you still basking in the desert?

90's would have me heading north in a nanosecond!

Yes, Robins count, but according to spring rules you must see more than one. Flowers, Robins, and PLGs ducks all count, spring is coming.. Should be low 90s later this week, getting close to the time to head north with those ducks.....

I saw a robin today, does that count? :)

84! Wow! Our highs are low 40's.

Thanks PLG, lots of flowering going on here, but none of it last too long... but no snow... 84 today!!

Well pumpkinhead, everything down here pokes, stings, scratches, bites, etc...Some of the cactus have the great flowers, but just look, no picking of these...

Ooooh, so nice! Can't wait to see something flowering up here. :) Thanks COden!

Snow? What's snow? :)
That is a really pretty flower, but the thorns are a bit scary!!
