Exactly how dangerous they are to birds is disputed, especially as modern turbines have built in detectors which close them down when birds are detected. I saw many birds in the vicinity of the wind farm, of many different varieties. As the technology underlying a wind powered generator is literally thousands of years old - they're basically windmills - we'd know by now if the effects on bird popuations were severe.

Meanwhile we have lots of clean, green energy.

But by all means support the coal industry instead, if that's your thing...
