Strikes me that it looks like an over extravagant dog kennel

Okay, that's more than just different, that's spectacular. Look at all those windows. The trailer in the rear was made from a 23 window van and both of the front windows on the trailer and pulling vehicle are swing out windows. The only thing that I fear is that the whole rig it too much work for that one little flat VW engine under there. But what the heck, It sure is impressive. Old school bumpers. I'm not sure but believe those swing out windshields are old too.
Of course a carefree soul with a surf board.
Too bad that they jumped it up into the future with those weird big wheel, small tire things.
