Of course! And there’s always good memories to hold onto when you meet wonderful people :) Have a great Mother’s Day Carmen !!

Ejc

You know the beautiful thing about working in rehab, I met a lot of wonderful people. All my pt’s. will always be in my heart.

Teagardener

(Good grief! My note skipped a word Carmen, I meant “for you” . . guess I was sleepy.)

Teagardener

Well, go when you can. Till then, I have mountain and waterfall puzzles for:) My dumb ole phone battery is about gone, so I’ll say good night . .

Ejc

Yes he does, but he is in school. I would like to go out every weekend to the mountains and waterfalls.

Teagardener

I’m sure it was beyond stressful. Short staffed meant so much more physical work for you. And not being appreciated just added to it. But retirement . . what’s next? I hope you get to spend more time with Jude :) Your grandson live fairly close?

Ejc

No my dear I was not on the frontline. I worked in acute care. Our unit was ground zero for COVID pt’s. Our pt’s came from the hospital to recuperate from surgery. A lot of our pt’s came from the hospital infected with COVID. Some didn’t make it. We didn’t have enough staff, no body wanted to work in our unit. It took a toll on us. And you know what is sad ,we were not appreciate it. No bonus for working with COVID pts. One time they brought a food truck for every one and gave everyone $50. That was it. Nothing special for our unit. We were the only one talking care of so many sick people with COVID.

I’m not sure that I can type the right words. Absolutely I understand your reason for retirement. I didn’t know you were on the frontlines . . I appreciate what you did and what you meant to so many patients and their families. I lost 5 friends to Covid, but I can’t imagine what you went thru every week, for over a year. May God grant you encouragement, hope and a time of healing. . . . Enjoy the rest of your celebration / retirement weekend and of course I know you’re looking forward to this New Chapter !!

Ejc

I retired from healthcare. That was a very stressful job. You have no idea how many people we lost because of COVID. There were time that I cried until I had no more tears. Sometimes I thought I was having a heart attack. Many times I parked my car in front of my apartment and cried for over half an hour.

Teagardener

@Ejc G’morning Carmen, Wait, wait, wait . . . Last Wed. was your last day at your job? My guess is you retired or you’ve changed jobs, either way, I’m super happy for you !! It’s great that you’re in NC enjoying a celebration weekend :) I used to live in Concord, close to Charlotte, but I’m familiar with the majestic mountains and the coastal, historic towns too. I hope you take lots of pictures ! Have a good time . .

Ejc

Girl, I love the mountains. I can’t wait to see all your beautiful pictures. This pass Wednesday was my last day at my job. I am in North Carolina this weekend celebrating freedom.

Teagardener

@Ejc G’morning Carmen :) I haven’t ‘seen you around’ lately, so I’m glad to hear from you! This week I’ve been on a short trip to the mountains. I thought about you, from here it’s only 3 hours to Greenville. The South isn’t That Big :) I’ll be back home tomorrow (Fri.), I have a lot of puzzles to catch up on! Hope you enjoy a great weekend . . And thanks for working the puzzle!

Ejc

Beautiful flowers.

Teagardener

Monica, I’m happy to know you enjoy gardening!

@SPuzzle20 Hello Sondra, it looks like your comment was delayed and it’s just now appeared, I’m sorry for my slow response. That’s a sweet story about the phlox, I like that :) No need to reply, I know it’s a Sunday afternoon. Have a great week!

monicapocincnet

Beautiful garden of flowers, pink is one of my favorite colors. I wish my gardens looked like this one. So beautiful and so full of color! Thanks, Monica ♥

SPuzzle20

Beautiful flowers, Tea. I love any type of wild flowers. I used to live across the street from a plant nursery and beside the nursery was a field of wild phlox. I remember as a young child roaming through this beautiful field. The phlox is gone and the field is full of weeds, but I still have the memories. Funny story is that I bought one phlox plant last year in honor of the memory. I now live on 10 acres with a field and cow pasture. So, as I was walking in the field I spotted some wild phlox!!! Just days after buying the phlox plant. Finding that patch of wild phlox was a beautiful reminder of those young, innocent days of childhood.

I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking a little break from Jigidi. I love interacting with people, but I need to learn how to balance my time. I probably won't be posting any puzzles for awhile, but I will occasionally check in. I hope to have many wildlife pictures to post in the future.
