HeyJudeNM

Now, settle down, Mandy. I'm not upset with you, just having some fun. We can make anything happen in our virtual world and it is fun, although sometimes unintentional. You need not ever worry offending me or hurting my feelings. I didn't think u saiid anything wrong anyway.

Thanks for the kind words about my surgery. I'm thrilled by the prospect of seeing better, but he told me my astigmatisms would make it necessary for me to still wear glasses. I've worn them all my life,so that's okay. I'm thinking that won't happen until after both eyes are done, so who knows how I will get by until then. I think there will be an improvement even in the interum, but I tend to be an optimist. I will let you know! Make some pretty puzzles, okay?

Judy - you misunderstood me!!! I think it is great that some of these birds are flying upside down - they are adventurous and daring and proving to the world that it is possible to do things that were previously thought to be impossible - they are progressive birds!!! On another note, I wear contact lens with mono vision, and on the whole they work really well, but I sometimes find working on a computer difficult as neither prescription is set for screen work!! However, I do love not needing glasses for reading, and at work I don't have to keep digging in my pocket for reading glasses like most of my colleagues!! I do hope and pray your surgery goes really well on Tuesday and that you will be delighted with the result once you have healed.

HeyJudeNM

MaryNolan,
I'm lucky to get twice the total of the top ten. I'm having cataract surgery and will be getting a new lens. Unfortunately I now have astigmatisms(sp?) that are going to require glasses. That doesn't bother me, if I can see again. Right now I don't even use my glasses, because they just make things look foggier. If I can see better, that would be great. So, we'll see how it goes. I have a new opthamologist who is a bit afraid of my other medical conditions, so I hope the first one goes well enough that he won't back out of operating on the left eye. He told me about the type of lenses you have. Were you disoriented when you first got them? It sounds so strange, but I've heard people love not needing glasses even for reading. I'm doing my best to win my doctor over, and even achieved my goal last week to make him smile.. I even got him to chuckle at one of my purposely dumb remarks/puns. I'll get him to like me yet. Surgery on Tues. morn, and I will post as soon as I'm ableI may post it on my newest puzzle, but you will find out. Thanks for chatting. BTW, what is your profession? Do you retain much when speed reading?

MaryNolan

Oh, Judy, I'm not fast at all. I NEVER make a board. I try to solve in only twice the time it took the #10 person on the board. That's a successful solve for me. I just can't get speed up when pulling pieces around with a mouse. I'm fast at some other things, like typing, but I do that all day at work to respond to appeals and speed is good because I can resolve more appeals if I can type the responses quickly. Also, I'm not much of a patient person so I kind of go fast on some things, including speed reading.

I hope your eye surgery is the Lasix procedure. I've had both eyes done and have 20/15 vision in each eye. I had it done "mono" so my left eye sees close and my right eye sees distance. Best of luck with it. I'll be thinking about you and hoping you'll post an update on how it went in one of your puzzles!

HeyJudeNM

Mandy,
I have poor sight, gonna have eye surgery on Tues on the rt. eye. If all goes well, I'll get the left one done in short order. Perhaps then I'll realize I've abused those poor birds. Maybe it's like doing the backstroke to them. Let's hope they aren't suffering. Actuallly, I think it is really funny. I guess I have a sick sense of humor. thanks for pointing that out. My self esteem is now shot. LOL.

MaryNolan:
I'm glad you enjoyed my crazy birds. How did I know they were upsidedown? So, you're one of those fast solvers. That's commendable. I cannot and will never solve quickly, even with improved sight. I use a mousepad on my laptop and the pieces fly everywhere. Plus, I'm slow with all electronic games, so I cannot put all the blame on the computer. I still love jigging. I try to find games I can play without a timer. Better for the ego. Are you fast in all you do/play? It sure is good to hear from you and hope to see you again.
Judy

MaryNolan

Love it! Them birds flying all whichaways! 5:12 Thanks, Jude (Judy?)!

monza006

Well, thankyou Judy. I can't tell if any of the birds are flying backwards, but some of them do appear to be flying upside down!!

HeyJudeNM

Hey Mandy, nice to hear from you. Yes, it was a lot of fun making the puzzle. Are you referring to upside down, backwards or what when you say "new ways to fly"? I didn't notice if so, and it that's the case, I find it hysterical. Poor birdies. I'm a real task master with whatever is in my control, I guess. Hope you are doing well. I'm still amazed by your lightning times!

monza006

Fascinating!! Love the way some of these "flocks" are going in different directions and even trying out new ways to fly!!

HeyJudeNM

Now that is fascinating, thinking about society as a whole. All the birds were the same except color. I created the puzzle with only composition in mind, but I can now see what you are saying. You have a good mind, PJ. That's really cool. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Judy

puzzlejan

It's a nice and interesting image in itself and needs no interpretations. 'Birds of a feather flock together'. (Since you asked - along political and psycological lines)
PJ

HeyJudeNM

PJ, thank you soooo much. I just tried something new and it was frustrating me to no end, so I erased it. If it isn't fun, it is not worth the effort. I'm attached to this one, though. What interpretations? Just wondering, cuz I had none in mind.

puzzlejan

I can imagine you had great fun creating it, You've done a marvelous job with shading and contrasting. Looking at it again, I can see several possible openended interpretations....Cool.
PJ

HeyJudeNM

Thanks. I thought about doing one flock of birds, but the blank canvas said, "more, more" and I had so very much fun creating it. Once again I appreciate your comments and encouragement Wendy and PJ. I was hoping someone would like it as much as me, because I post things that I think are just so-so, and don't expect much. I'm so glad to hear from you both, since you have such a keen eye!

puzzlejan

I think the design is extraordinary, refined - and yes, fun. Wonderful idea!
