Why are you reporting this puzzle?

The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is justifiably world famous. This picture shows what I was wearing when I set out. By the time I reached the rim of the first crater, I was so hot I had stripped down to my singlet. We then walked across the crater. Neither words nor pictures can adequately describe how VAST it is... and although quiet and peaceful, and almost flat and encrusted with ice, it is classified as Active!
We climbed the far rim of the crater, took in some more spectacular scenery, and were about to start the long climb up the ridge toward the summit when the weather closed in. By the time I got back down into the relative shelter of the crater, I was VERY thankful for every stitch of clothing I had brought with me!

Ha,ha,ha!
There were some, not as well insulated as I was, and they suffered! Beb.

That sign should say, "If you're not equipped like this guy, don't even bother."

It's a bicycle helmet, from when I was in good enough shape to ride one. Now my ride is a Jazzy power chair. Some people might very well refer to my helmet as a space helmet, if you get my meaning. LOL. Your outfit would be way too hot for me. I would die of heat stroke. I like to sit in front in front of a fan. I put out so much heat, I've been referred to as a furnace. I guess my metabolism is incredible.

Ah! Even severe weather! I was wearing "long john" thermal underwear underneath, the pants were thick, fleecy lined, and I bought the jacket from the Mountain Equipment Co-op in Canada, a year earlier. It is double thickness with an insulating layer in between. Warm as toast in there! :D

Is that a climbing helmet you're wearing?

Jigsawfanatic

Seems equipped for moderate weather.
