Don't have any reality on the dancing/disappearing puzzle aspect. hmmmm.... I have a Mac laptop at my desk and usually stay awake to get them done -- or -- I bow out for awhile and come back to it later. Gosh -- I really don't get the disappearing act!

As for larger puzzles -- heck, in my early days I set up a card table and spread out 1500 pieces -or more- and did them gradually, with the help of other like-minded family members. Always around the living room fireplace in dead of winter. Summers were too busy being outdoors and doing other things. When we all scattered to the 4 winds puzzles became a thing of the past, until I discovered electronic puzzles. OMG -- manna from heaven! But now I mostly stick to the medium size -- up to 240. Sometimes I venture into larger, but they take a while and I can't see all the pieces at one time, so it becomes a bit more challenging. Oops, gotta run now. Later, Sherry!! :):)

If it were put to a vote I too would get rid of the darned Leaderboard. I have another issue that drives me crazy. Since I do mine on an iPad and while in the recliner, I do have a tendence to nod off. If you rest your hand/fingers on your iPad for any length of time while NOT doing anything, the pieces start to *dance* ... then they DISAPPEAR (oh no!!). I can't begin to tell you how many puzzles I have been working that have just "gone up in smoke". Yes, I do have the opportunity to completely start OVER one more time. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Every once in a while the puzzle just slips over a little bit and I can move it back to the working area, but usually it is Gone Baby Gone.

Back to my current puzzle. Today I like they blue sun/moon at 400 pieces. Sometimes as it comes alive I get a smile on my face. I not only love the puzzles, but I really enjoy the *friends* I have. It is like opening a surprise package all wrapped up in colorful wrapping puzzle. Every once in a while it is like blowing out a candle on a cupcake. I must be EASILY pleased. -Sherry ;0}

Point is, you have fun!! And it's calming, pleasurable, etc. So, I wish, frankly, they'd do away with the leaderboard, or the option to do so. I, too, have no concern about that list. I just enjoy myself and the clock can go to the devil as far as I'm concerned. Like you, it's more darn fun to find new friends all over the country. I think this is THE best puzzle site going, hands down! *Robin* :):)

I don't play to the Leaderboard, but I am really s.l.o.w. solving. When I answer comments or publish puzzles it is in the office where I have this big screen keeping my attention. When I solve .. I am in a nice recliner with my iPad propped on a pillow on my lap. I have BIG windows that look outside into the high desert. I have birds and their feeder. They play in the tree and fly have nest boxes on the front porch. The dogs (5 Aussies - and they are glue dogs and an Aussie cross). They decide when it is their turn to have attention and if I am sitting there doing puzzles they might just come up and *snoot* me for attention. Then I often puzzle with TV on. There are just too many distractions for me to actually feel the Leaderboard is something for me to be concerned about. I like the puzzles, I LOVE the friends I have made and I guess I am easily distracted. SIGH .. back to the living room. -Sherry 8-}

I never care who sees how long it takes me to do a puzzle....since I don't actually play that game, I really don't care how long I take to put a puzzle together, and I figure if I happen to land on a leaderboard (by accident) my time was better than someone who didn't appear there, so, hey, I guess I "arrived" somehow. Heh heh, it took me a half hour longer than the last person. Eh....

Right now you are #10. I think the only time I ever stayed on the leaderboard was when the puzzle was just NOT popular. Then I felt like I had been hung out to dry for all of eternity to see. LOL -Sherry 8-}

HAH! Even got on the leaderboard -- until someone pulls in less time, then I'll "fall off". What a surprise to me. *Robin*

Quite a challenging puzzle. Not sure it is my type but you really did a good job including so many photos into one puzzle. Must have been a bit of work to get it done. -Sherry 8-}

Lia

I can't puzzle more than 80 pieces!!

I LOVE challenges like this! I do some, then go away and do others or - life - then come back and do a little more, etc. And I don't care if this takes me hours and hours to do. I'm not one who has to beat any clocks. Puzzles should be relaxing and absorbing and, as I said, a challenge, so this is terrific for me. Thanks for posting!

thank you. But you aught to at least try it.

Lia

for the brave puzzlers this is lovely! ( I like to look, but not to make!)
