From my past...Trixie Belen Mysteries. They helped me to become a better reader. And, started my passion for reading.

Oh the joy of belonging to a library and changing books as soon as they were finished!

I a so happy that you all enjoyed this beautiful collage - i always wanted to go to boarding school as a child - never did ☺☺ and only read about ballet and horses and circus stories ♥♥♥ @lilliwebs - sounds like you had a very inspirational childhood ☺☺ I would go to my mom's bookclub with her and by the age of 9 ... I would tell her which books to choose .. for me! We also joined a library from when I was very little and LOVED BOOKS and always had my nose in 1 or 2 at a time☺☺☺ before we downsized nearly six years ago - i had over 1000 books and 992 puzzles in my collection !!!!!!!!! Had to get rid of most of them - kept about 100 best books, now probably have over 400 and have about 200 puzzles ☺☺ hgus and grins to each of you ♥♥♥♥

Vielen Dank für dieses wortwörtlich märchenhaftes Puzzle! Auch ich liebe Bücher, vor allem Märchen, manche von diesen habe ich nicht nur als Kind gelesen. ;-)

No way !!! The Fairy Books in the different colors ??!! I read them over and over and over as a child, from the library. I might have some upstairs that I picked up as an adult because of nostalgia. The Nancy Drew books I had to earn...household chores were assigned a price, and I kept a ledger so that as soon as I had enough we could go out and buy my next Nancy Drew book. Good grades earned the most money value!!
I have the entire set in close to mint condition :) !! Cherry Ames was next, and I might have all but one...I wanted to be a nurse so much from reading those. Then childhood comes to not an end, but a pause. I started reading and collecting the author Grace Livingston Hill...I have all the paperbacks, and many older hardbacks too.
When I say childhood comes to a pause, as I grew up and found yard sales and old book stores, I began collecting antique children's books...there are bookshelves in every room of my house !!! That is my current passion...buying them and making them look almost brand new. I learned a lot about fixing up books the years I was a librarian and also applied my imagination to spruce them up...I have to stop before I fall asleep, but you just made me so happy tonight !! xoxo Love and hugs, Lilli 💜

Haven't heard of these, either. Also read Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys. Favourite children's books are C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia... I still re-read them as an old lady!
