Why are you reporting this puzzle?

This is Rocky, the newest member of our family. He's a cute little chihuahua who is about 2 years old. He was found wandering the streets, terrorizing the neighborhood dogs, including our sweet poodle, Carly. I agreed to keep him while we tried to track down his owner. (No tags, no microchip.) His eyes were red and he only weighed 4 lbs. His original family could never be determined, and no one claimed him. So we kept him. Because in those few weeks, he came to be a sweet, friendly, cooperative, happy doggie who only wants to make me happy. He and Carly now get along wonderfully, doing everything side by side. He is now a healthy 5 lbs, no red eyes, checked out with the vet, got neutered, vacinated, licensed, and mictrochiped. He is now a therapy dog for my two oldest kids (Karie and John) who have disabilities. Because one therapy dog was not enough. Now each of them have someone to love on when they get home. Everybody is happy!

Excellent news!! It sounds like, against the odds, he has developed trust! That's so good! (❛ᴗ❛)

Thanks, Kirsten! Rocky did great at the babysitter's. He attached to the teenage daughter immediately and got along with their family. Now he's happy back at home and we are getting back to normal routine. Which means I get to participate on Jigidi again! Hurray! (✬‿✬) - Teresa

I guess he instinctively knows that he's about to be "abandoned" again. It would be great if we could communicate that it's just temporary, and he will be going somewhere that he will enjoy. But dogs are pack creatures. And once they find their pack family and leader, they need to be with them. Always. I hope that he will learn to trust in time, and know that you will return from trips. Good luck with him! (❛ᴗ❛)

Thanks, Kirsten! He's been a sweetie until last night. When I started packing suitcases for a trip, he started growling at me. He didn't stop until I was done packing. I think he knows. Oh oh. He's going to the babysitter's for the weekend, but doesn't know it yet. He does suspect that something is up. LOL (✬‿✬) - Teresa

He looks like a sweetie, Teresa! I hope you all live happily ever after. And I love the framing that you put around him. (❛ᴗ❛)

BeeKay, when he wants to play, he spins in circles and jumps like a bunny. So funny. (✬‿✬) - Teresa

"Don't you want to play"????

Yes, Cats, Rocky lives in cuddle heaven. There's always somebody ready to give him a good cuddle. Hugs, (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Aw, Barb, I'm sorry you lost your last little Tommy Tomboy. They are so much like little people, the way they connect and communicate, and love. Hugs, (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Wow, how lucky for you all. It sounds as if he realized he walked into heaven on earth and reformed in a hurry. :) Sweet.

I love your Rocky Teresa and love the story of his rescue. Rocky is lucky :) I used to have five Chihuahuas, the last one died four years ago, at 16, little Tommy Toyboy....still miss them all. Thank you for the photo and for the story.... :)

Wow, Sue, your little guy is 15 years old? It will be nice to grow old(er) along with my little lap buddy. (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Thank you, songbirdj. I am indeed blessed and feel very grateful every day. (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Suzy, Rocky says, yes, he had it all planned out this way. LOL (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Thank you brightspark. Rocky says Yes he is adorable, and those big ears listen for everything. (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Thank you, ladywil! They can't decide which one belongs to which kid, because they all love each other equally. Carly sleeps with John and Rocky sleeps with Karie, but in the daytime, Rocky is on John's lap and Carly is getting tummy rubs from Karie. LOL (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Thank you for your sweet comment, Marina. He is a fun and a funny dog. (✬‿✬) - Teresa

Good job, Rocky. You have a lifetime happy career ahead of you. My Chihuahua is 15 now, about 7 pounds. He was a rescue dog many years ago.

You selected your new home well, Rocky!

I loved your story fasstar25. The Lord has blessed you with a loving husband, children, patience and now , sweet little Rocky! I've had several dogs in my lifetime and they have been loved by my childhood family, my own children and grandchildren. I know this because, when each one of our dogs died, we would all cry for the great loss. My children wanted to have a funeral for each of the dogs and it was SO sweet to hear them pray that they would see them in Heaven one day. Tears can turn into cheers!

HI ROCKY - you are adorable xx i can tell you listen to your mommy ♥♥♥♥

Rocky looks really cute. I am happy for your kids, they they each heve their own doggie now to hug and love.

I loved this puzzle, Teresa, for the beauty of it and also for your warm heart to save this dog's life and to improve yours and the lives of your children. The dog is very lucky. Thank you. Marina
